How do I book a journey for someone else?
Once you have chosen the pick-up location and fare class, click “Book for Another Passenger”. You will then have the option to choose from any previous passengers you have booked for, else you can either select someone from your phone contacts or enter their phone number manually.
Will my guest passenger be notified of any changes to their journey?
Yes, they will automatically receive notifications by WhatsApp or text message — whether it’s for a reassignment to a closer chauffeur, a revised pickup time (for pre-booked journeys), or a cancelled journey.
What happens if the passenger I’m booking for doesn’t have the Wheely app? Will they still receive journey updates?
Yes, they will receive a link by either WhatsApp or text message that will allow them to both track and call their chauffeur. Though we always encourage guests to download the Wheely app for a richer experience.
Can my guest passenger communicate with their chauffeur if they don’t have the Wheely app?
Yes, their chauffeur’s phone number will be sent via a WhatsApp or text message. For additional privacy, the initial link the passenger receives will also include a “Call Chauffeur” button which they may use to contact their chauffeur without revealing their personal phone number. They may also call Wheely’s 24/7 Customer Service team at any time to have a message relayed on their behalf.
If my guest passenger only installed the Wheely app after their journey was booked, will they still see their journey in the app?
Yes, so long as they created their account using the same phone number that you provided for them.
Are guest passengers able to modify journey details in their Wheely app?
For privacy and security, only the account that booked the journey may modify it through their own account. Though passengers may contact our 24/7 Customer Support team at any time for prompt assistance.
Will my guest passenger’s chauffeur follow the specific preferences I requested?
Yes, Wheely chauffeurs will always follow requested preferences no matter who the passenger is — including temperature, music, and general etiquette. These settings can be selected in the “Preferences” section of the Wheely app (Side menu → Preferences).
What guest passenger data is visible to their chauffeur?
Your guest’s chauffeur will see only their name, which for airport pick-ups will be written on their personalised nameboard. For enhanced privacy, all phone calls will be routed discreetly so that your guest’s phone number is never revealed.
Who pays for journeys booked for guest passenger?
Journey are always charged to the preferred payment account selected by the individual making the booking.
How can guest passengers contact Customer Service?
The initial link they receive by WhatsApp or text message will include a “Call Customer Service” button. If they have the Wheely app installed, they can also do so via in-app chat by tapping “Contact Customer Service” on their journey screen or via phone by navigating to the app’s side menu.
